Belarus presented its position on cybersecurity at an international conference in Geneva

Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus in Geneva Larysa Belskaya informed the participants of the event about the approaches of the Belarusian side in the field of regulating the behaviour of states in cyberspace. She noted that Belarus opposes the use of the information space as a sphere of military operations and the militarisation of information and communication technologies.
The members of the conference were informed about the initiative of the Head of the Belarusian State on the formation of a ‘belt of digital good neighbourliness’. The Belarusian diplomat stated the urgent need for the international community to agree on a ban on government-sanctioned cyber-attacks against critical infrastructure facilities of other states.
