Belarus plans to initiate strategic CSTO-China dialogue
During its chairmanship in the Collective Security Treaty Organisation, Belarus intends to initiate a CSTO-China Strategic Dialogue – as informed by President Aleksandr Lukashenko at a plenary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Yerevan, BelTA reports
The Head of State noted that the expansion of partnerships with global players such as China will contribute to strengthening of the CSTO positions in the international arena.
"For these purposes, the Belarusian chairmanship intends to initiate a CSTO–China Strategic Dialogue (maybe India will be considered, we will determine later) by organising meetings in Belarus of representatives of the foreign and defence ministries, as well as security council offices of the CSTO members and relevant states – like China, for example," the President said.
