Belarus, Panama discussed pharma, medical education co-operation

On December 5th, a deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Sergei Klishevich, met Panama’s Healthcare Minister, Fernando Boyd Galindo, sb.by reports


At the meeting, the parties shared opinions on social policies and healthcare services development in their countries. Mr. Boyd Galindo said his ministry is presently working on a development strategy for Panama’s healthcare system, to make healthcare services more accessible, like they are in Belarus.

The parties also discussed co-operation between the two countries in pharma industry and medical education. Mr. Klishevich, in particular, informed the healthcare minister of the Belarusian State Medical University (BSMU) Rector's invititation to students from Panama to come study in the leading medical university of Belarus.

Fernando Boyd Galindo also showed interest in a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian conflict, so the Belarusian MP informed him on Belarus’ humanitarian initiatives in that area, like rehabilitation of children from the conflict zone in Belarus and the attempts from the West to discredit this initiative.
