“Belarus and Oman are currently linked by the Belavia flight, although this route is seasonal for now. The flight programme for the 2025/2026 season to Salalah begins on October 23rd and will continue until late May 2026,” RUTO noted.

Specialists noted that the inaugural flights between the two countries took place in spring 2025. During that period, a local tour operator and Belavia Airlines launched a charter flight programme from Minsk to Salalah for the first time, with flights operating from February 27th to May 10th. Over 1,700 Belarusian tourists travelled to Oman.

As previously reported, on October 6th, Belarus’ President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman at the Palace of Independence. During their meeting, they signed a series of agreements covering multiple areas of co-operation, including a visa-free travel agreement. In their joint statement, both leaders highlighted the significance of the direct charter flight programme between Minsk and Salalah. They also affirmed their commitment to liaising in order to boost the exchange of tourists between their countries.
