Belarus’ National Academy of Sciences will have its own university

From September 1st, the Institute for the Training of Scientific Personnel of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NAS) is being transformed into the University of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, with a solemn event being dedicated to this at NAS on Knowledge Day – as reported in the NAS’ press service

Master’s degree students of the National Academy of Sciences’ university will be awarded symbolic academic record books on September 1st. The first classes for them will take place at the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library at Belarus’ NAS.

According to the Academy of Sciences, 110 people were enrolled in the magistracy. Applicants were interested in various specialties, including popular ones such as physical and mathematical (economics, physics, applied mathematics and computer science), natural (biology, chemistry), and humanitarian sciences (art history, sociology).
