Belarus’ NAS to liaise with Chinese colleagues in field of aviation equipment

An agreement on co-operation in the field of aviation equipment between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Chinese scientific organisations was signed during the Belarusian delegation’s visit to Harbin, the official Telegram channel of Belarus’ NAS reports

“In Harbin, the NAS delegation led by First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium Sergei Chizhik took part in a conference organised by the Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Industry Technologies of Heilongjiang Province and Harbin Polytechnic University,” the source informed. “An agreement on co-operation in the field of aviation equipment was signed between Harbin Polytechnic University, Guanglian Joint Research Institute and the Institute of Physics and Technology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.”

The Belarusian delegation also visited the Scientific Research Institute of the Chinese Shipbuilding Industry Corporation to get acquainted with the main activities of this company.

The Institute of Physics and Technology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was founded in 1931, and it currently unites five scientific departments, 13 laboratories and a pilot production facility. It performs work in demand in mechanical engineering, microelectronics, defence, medicine, and construction.

Earlier, during a visit of the NAS delegation to Harbin Polytechnic University, negotiations were held with the head of the Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering on the establishment of a joint laboratory, Advanced Energy Conversion Technologies, as part of the One Belt, One Road initiative, as well as with representatives of Harbin Power Plant Valve Company Limited.
