Belarus, Moldova intend to intensify IT co-operation

Issues of co-operation between Belarus and Moldova in the field of IT were discussed at a recent meeting of the Charge d'Affaires of Moldova in Belarus and the Hi-Tech Park representatives, HTP press service reports

The Hi-Tech Park was visited by the Charge d'Affaires of the Republic of Moldova in the Republic of Belarus, Nicolae Miinea. As reported, he was introduced to the legal conditions of the Belarusian IT industry, the HTP history and importance for the country's economy. “The unique developments of our residents were discussed, and the Moldovan diplomat highly appreciated the achievements of the park. He reported on the IT sector in Moldova. This is the most progressive industry in the country: its GDP share stands at 7 percent. In 2018, an IT park was created in Moldova, and it is now rapidly developing,” the press service informed, adding that the parties agreed to intensify bilateral co-operation in the field of IT.

The Hi-Tech Park was established in Belarus in 2005, and it is considered the leading IT cluster in Central and Eastern Europe, offering the best conditions for starting, running and developing a business. HTP residents can engage in more than 40 types of activities – including advanced solutions in the field of artificial intelligence, the development of high-end software, engineering solutions, games and mobile applications, IT in the field of healthcare, agriculture, fintech, banking software, laser technology, and optics. Currently, more than 1,000 companies are the Hi-Tech Park residents.
