Belarus might face provocations from Ukraine

This opinion was voiced by the Chairman of Soyuz (Union) civil initiative, Sergei Lushch, in his talk with ONT TV channel

“Mercenaries on the territory of Ukraine near the Belarusian border not simply pose a threat to us; they also indicate that a certain centre is managing Kiev at present. This also refers to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The problem is that these mercenaries are not controlled by anyone and do not obey anyone. They receive signals from outside, are outside the norms of international law and do not act in line with the rules of war," the expert noted, adding, “Their movement towards the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is a matter of concern. This is a terrible threat.”

Mr. Lushch believes Belarus may face provocations from Ukraine, “This is the key problem. They are trying to involve Belarus’ Armed Forces in the conflict – although Belarus has been taking a consistent and verified position from the very beginning of the special operation: non-interference into the conflict and defence of the borders.”
