Thus, at the meeting between the Belarusian delegation and Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade of Iran and Head of the Trade Development Organisation Mohammad-Ali Dehghan Dehnavi, the partners agreed to exchange visits of expert delegations, which will lead to the development of joint steps to support exporters of both countries (in particular, a series of analytical materials for businesses will be prepared). Already this May, major international exhibitions – Iran Agrofood and Iran Oil Show – will be held. The Iranian side confirmed the visit of local businesses to Belarusian stands.

Belarusian specialists discussed with Chairman of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Mahmoud Najafi Arab the possibilities to intensify contacts between the business communities of Belarus and Iran. Director of the National Marketing Centre Nikolai Borisevich confirmed the readiness to receive an Iranian business mission in Belarus and organise meetings with Belarusian counterparties. In turn, the Tehran Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready to ensure the search for Iranian partners for Belarusian companies, including online. A bilateral memorandum was signed, which consolidated the outlined intentions and other plans of the parties and was based on a number of successful joint events.

The Belarusian delegation agreed to give impetus to the work of the SCO Business Council at the meeting with Majidreza Hariri, Iran’s representative in the SCO Business Council and Chairman of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The sides agreed on the expediency of a face-to-face meeting of the chairs of the national parts before the SCO forum to be held in Beijing in July. It is not ruled out that such a meeting may take place in Minsk as early as this spring.

The talks between the delegation of the National Marketing Centre and Iran’s Secretary General of the Entrepreneurs Association Hamidreza Ghaznavi were devoted to the prospects of expanding direct contacts between Belarusian enterprises and the private sector in Iran. The memorandum of understanding signed at the end of the meeting noted the two countries’ readiness to assist in greater involvement of companies in the business dialogue, including through participation in events for the business community.
