Belarus’ Interior Minister signed UN Convention against Cybercrime during his official visit to Vietnam

A high-level United Nations conference has been held in Hanoi today. Vietnamese President Luong Kyong and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed the foreign delegations and thanked them for their joint efforts in the fight against crime, sb.by reports with reference to the press service of Belarus’ Interior Ministry.

In accordance with the powers granted by Decree No. 326 of the President of the Republic of Belarus as of September 9th, 2025, Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakov participated in the signing of the UN Convention against Cybercrime.

The document was signed by more than 100 countries, and it is intended to strengthen international co-operation in the fight against atrocities in the field of information technology. In particular, it provides access to round-the-clock data exchange, the ability to request mutual assistance in investigations, lawsuits, and so on. Governments are getting more powerful tools to protect children and help victims of cybercrime.

Belarus’ Interior Minister also held a number of talks with colleagues from other countries on practical co-operation between law enforcement agencies.
