Belarus interested in food exports to Iran

Belarus is interested in supplying dairy and meat products (butter, beef, chicken meat, chicken and quail eggs), as well as animal feed and premixes to the Iranian market – as stated during a meeting of the Belarusian-Iranian joint working group on co-operation in agriculture, the press service of Belarus’ Agriculture and Food Ministry informs

As reported, Iran, in turn, is interested in supplying vegetables, fruits and dried fruits, nuts, fish, seafood and other agricultural products to Belarus.

The meeting was co-chaired by Belarus’ Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister, Aleksei Bogdanov, and Iran’s Deputy Agriculture Minister, Abbas Askarzadeh. The sides discussed prospects of bilateral trade and economic co-operation, including ways to increase the range and volume of mutual supplies of food and agricultural raw materials.


From January-September 2021, the trade turnover of food products and agricultural raw materials with Iran made $8m – which made 114.5 percent against the same period last year.
