The humanitarian cargo was delivered to Syria’s Latakia Airport by the aircraft of the Defence Ministry. It was accompanied by a delegation of the Emergencies Ministry led by First Deputy Minister Aleksandr Khudoleev.

Belarus renders humanitarian aid to Syria on a regular basis. Six shipments of Belarusian humanitarian aid were transferred to the Syrian side from 2015 to 2022 – including baby food, food, medicines, medical equipment, children's clothing and shoes, as well as MAZ equipment. According to Mr. Khudoleev, Belarus has provided humanitarian aid to 33 countries eighty times since 1999.
