Belarus, Egypt plan joint sports events in 2022
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sergei Terentiev, has met with the Minister of Youth and Sports of Egypt, Ashraf Sobhi – as informed by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service
The sides discussed the schedule of joint sports events in 2022, including those held as part of celebrations of the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. An agreement was reached to arrange the Sports Week of Belarus and Egypt in the winter-spring period in Egypt, and in the summer period – in Belarus.
Special attention was paid to the issues of enhancing bilateral co-operation in the field of youth policy. The sides showed interest in organising Belarus' participation in the World Youth Forum in Sharm el-Sheikh in 2022.
