Belarus’ Economy Ministry presented investment plans for 2026: import substitution projects, regional development in focus
The implementation of import substituting projects and regional development programmes – envisaged by the investment plans for 2026 – will create thousands of jobs and attract significant investments into the economy of Belarus, sb.by reports with reference to the Economy Ministry’s press service
According to the Economy Ministry, the implementation of the One District, One Project initiative and import substitution projects will continue in 2026. As expected, this will contribute to the regional development next year.
By the end of 2025, it is planned to complete fifty projects that will make it possible to create 1,500 new jobs. Special attention is paid to the Regional Initiative development, which provides for the implementation of about 120 projects totalling Br1.7bn. Of these, 50 projects will be completed in the coming months.
In general, a large-scale increase in investment activity is planned for 2026: the completion of 230 commercial projects and the creation of about 2.7 thousand new jobs.
