Belarus’ Consulate General to open in Nizhny Novgorod during 12th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in 2025

The Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus will be opened in Nizhny Novgorod during the 12th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, which is scheduled to take place in June 2025, Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Gleb Nikitin told journalists after his today’s meeting with President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko

In particular, Gleb Nikitin said that the unprecedented level of relations between the parties contributed to this decision, “We are very grateful to the President of Belarus and the Government. We plan that the actual opening of the consulate will take place during the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, which will be held in Nizhny Novgorod.”

The Russian governor also added that he expects the Belarusian side to support other projects. In particular, projects in shipbuilding, the chemical industry, and the humanitarian sphere were discussed during the meeting.
