Belarus, China liaise in agricultural exports, education and tourism

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China, Yuri Senko, commented on development of Belarus-China co-operation in various fields during his talk with STV TV channel, BelTA reports

"Despite the pandemic, our co-operation in the field of education has achieved very high results by now: about 400 different agreements in the sphere have been signed. We have also much progressed in the field of culture. As for the economy, Belarusian agricultural exports to China increased by 40 percent in 2021. Speaking of products with high added value, growth here made about 80 percent against 2020 figures,” Mr. Senko said.

The diplomat added that liaisons in the tourism sector are strengthening as well. “In the pre-pandemic period, Belarus was among the top countries that China paid attention to in terms of tourism. Our country has created and will continue establishing all possible opportunities for Chinese travellers to Belarus to enjoy a necessary range of services, including regarding recuperation. The Chinese side is aware of this,” he said.

Mr. Senko noted that Belarus and China have achieved very good results in the field of bilateral co-operation, "This success has become possible since our enterprises, institutions, organisations, ministries and departments are actively promoting various areas of our collaboration. Belarus’ embassy and consulate generals have created all conditions to enable our domestic enterprises to build long lasting trade relations with Chinese partners.”
