Belarus, China jointly strengthening technological co-operation in IT sector

"The delegation took part in the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum, which is a key platform for discussing innovations in science and technology, and also held meetings with representatives of Chinese high-tech companies. The visit became a continuation of the strategic dialogue between Belarus and China within the framework of the Belt and Road initiative in the year of co-operation between the two countries in the field of science, technology and innovation (2024-2025)," the HTP press service reported.

It is noted that the programme of participation in the forum opened with a traditional meeting at the Embassy of Belarus in China. Special attention was paid to the role of technological co-operation in strengthening bilateral relations and further mechanisms for the development of this track of interaction.

In addition, the delegation from Belarus participated as honorary guests in the opening of the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum, the discussion of global trends in the technological sphere, such as the digitalisation of the economy, artificial intelligence, robotics and biomedical innovations, as well as in the plenary session of the event.

During the visit to Beijing, a meeting was held with the leadership of the Chinese Engineering Corporation CAMCE. The parties discussed models of interaction between Belarusian IT companies and Chinese partners.

"During the acquaintance with the Beijing Education Authority's programme for the development of artificial intelligence education in primary and secondary schools in 2025-2027, the delegation members visited the joint artificial intelligence laboratory of Peking University and Tower Bridge International. During the meeting with the company’s CEO, the possibilities of co-operation and exchange of experience on the development of methods for using AI technologies in primary and secondary schools were discussed," the source added.

The Belarusian delegation also visited one of the Beijing gymnasiums to get acquainted with practical examples of using artificial intelligence to solve educational problems, create innovative approaches to learning and evaluate the effectiveness of the educational process.

"The Hi-Tech Park continues to strengthen Belarus' position in the international technological landscape, using such important platforms as the Zhongguancun Forum," the HTP press service stressed.
