In his talk with SB TV, the expert clarified that the Mi-35 helicopter is a seriously modernised version of the Mi-24 model, which showed itself perfectly in Afghanistan and other military conflicts.
“As a result of the modernisation, the aircraft has become smarter and actually more economical. It has now other engines and a completely different navigation system. It is able to use other means of destruction in connection with new trends. The helicopter has new avionics, so the pilot can perform elementary flights – doing this on the basis of the information from digital, not pointer-type devices. Moreover, the Mi-35 complex of weapons makes it possible to accurately hit targets,” Mr. Davidovich explained.
The military official added that the helicopter had already been tested at the Belarusian aviation training ground. “Pilots say the target – a training tank – is always hit, and the accuracy is very high. Moreover, the helicopter is equally well able to use a new means of destruction during the daytime and at night, and this is its characteristic feature: it acts as a real universal fighter on the battlefield. There should be a lot of such helicopters, and they should not be very expensive,” Mr. Davidovich said.
