Belarus, Armenia to continue interregional co-operation

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia, Aleksandr Konyuk, visited the Armavir Region of Armenia to hold several meetings – as informed by the Embassy of Belarus in Armenia

According to the diplomatic mission, on meeting the Governor of the Armavir Region, Eduard Hovhannisyan, the sides discussed the development of interregional co-operation, intensification of trade and economic co-operation, including supplies of Belarusian agricultural machinery to the region, and fruit and vegetable products from the Armavir Region to Belarus. They agreed on the importance of exchanging visits by delegations of Gomel and Armavir regions, participation in events organised by the two regions’ administrations.

In addition, Mr. Konyuk met with prosecutor Sargis Mnatsakanyan to discuss the issues of bilateral co-operation in the law enforcement sphere. An extended meeting was also held at the Prosecutor's Office of the Armavir Region. The Ambassador of Belarus informed those present on the country’s industrial, trade and tourism potential. The sides exchanged views on topical issues.
