Belarus’ Ambassador to Colombia: parliamentary diplomacy is important in solving international problems
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Colombia Nikolai Ovsyanko, at the invitation of President of the Colombian House of Representatives David Racero, took part in the solemn ceremony of presenting the Simon Bolivar Order of Democracy to the Vallenata Legend Festival Foundation
According to the Belarusian diplomatic mission, during his welcoming speech, the Ambassador stressed that art unites peoples, and is also an important component of peace and prosperity.
During a conversation with the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Colombia, the Belarusian diplomat stressed the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in addressing topical issues on the international agenda. Issues of expanding bilateral contacts through the legislative bodies of the two countries were also touched upon.
