Belarus’ Ambassador, Roscosmos Chief discussed ways to increase potential in space
The current directions of co-operation between Belarus and Russia in the space sector, as well as the measures needed to expand them, were discussed at a meeting of Belarus’ Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik with Roscosmos Chief Dmitry Bakanov, sb.by reports with reference to the Embassy of Belarus in Russia
Mr. Rogozhnik noted with satisfaction the high level of co-operation between Belarus and Russia in the field of exploration and use of space for peaceful purposes, and the successful implementation of scientific and technical programmes of the Union State in this area.
The diplomat stressed that the established effective co-operation helped realise the most difficult tasks, including the flight of the first female cosmonaut of sovereign Belarus, Marina Vasilevskaya, to the ISS. He thanked Russian partners for supporting Belarusian space exploration programmes.
The parties agreed to develop co-operation in relevant areas of space exploration, including the creation and operation of high-precision equipment, and the practical implementation of technologies created within the framework of the Union State programmes.
