"Speaking about the meeting of the two heads of state, we can note that, firstly, it turned out to be very warm and friendly – as always. Secondly, it was very comprehensive. Almost all areas of bilateral co-operation were discussed – including traditional (trade, investment projects) and promising ones. About ten of them were covered in total. Therefore, we are preparing to work. We hope that this work will be fruitful,” the diplomat said.

As reported, the meeting of the presidents of Belarus and the United Arab Emirates took place in Abu Dhabi on February 2nd and lasted about four hours. The UAE leader invited his Belarusian counterpart home, and the negotiations were held first in an expanded format, and then one-on-one.

The Belarusian and Emirati leaders agreed to liaise in more than ten areas, including in the sphere of trade, economic and investment co-operation. An emphasis was also placed on the humanitarian field.
