Beijing Olympics prize winners honoured in Minsk
The headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus has honoured the prize winners of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing: Anton Smolski, the silver medallist in the men’s individual biathlon race and Hanna Huskova, the silver medal winner in ski acrobatics. Athletes were presented with memorable valuable gifts.
Based on the results of the athletes’ performance at the main start of the four-year period, the Executive Committee of the NOC of Belarus decided to provide additional funding in the amount of Br200,000 to the Biathlon Federation of Belarus and the Belarusian Freestyle Federation, with corresponding certificates presented to the heads of these organisations.
