Baikonur special services report on presumable terrorist attack

Law enforcement agencies of Baikonur have reported that a terrorist attack is being prepared in the city. As informed by the local administration, a high-threat regime has been introduced on the cosmodrome territory, Lenta.ru reports

“In connection with the information received from law enforcement agencies about the threat of a terrorist act and organisation of activities to counteract its commission, it was decided to announce an increased (blue) level of terrorist threat on the territory of Baikonur,” the statement reads.

Local residents have been asked to be vigilant and report all suspicious cases to the government, to convey information about the threat to friends and family, and also to closely monitor the news.
