“As far as I know, the last few payments were made in [Russian] Roubles – but at the corresponding exchange rate,” the source said.

According to Mr. Kerobyan, prices are set in Dollars but payments are made in Russian Roubles.

“True, Gazprom's contract for gas supplies to Armenia envisages payments in [Russian] Roubles for several years already, and this opportunity is being used,” Gazprom's official representative, Sergei Kupriyanov, told RBC.

Earlier, Hungary announced its readiness to pay for Russian gas in Roubles. According to Hungary’s Foreign Minister, Peter Szijjarto, the government has a solution thanks to which Hungary will not violate any sanctions, but at the same time will ensure gas supplies to the country.
