AMKODOR discussed prospects of entering Omani market
The prospects of bringing AMKODOR Holding's products to the Omani market have been discussed at talks in Minsk in early May, the company’s press centre reports
“The Honorary Consul of Belarus in the Sultanate of Oman, Abdullah Masoud Humaid Al Harthy, paid a working visit to AMKODOR – Holding Managing Company JSC,” the press centre noted. “During the negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects of the holding’s products entering the Omani market, as well as the promotion of Belarusian equipment to other countries in the region.”
The participants in the talks expressed interest in developing bilateral co-operation and outlined concrete steps for further co-operation.
As previously reported, a delegation from the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited the holding’s parent company in late 2023. The guests visited the permanent exhibition of AMKODOR machinery, got acquainted with the production line of equipment and conducted constructive negotiations. The Omani representatives were particularly interested in the road construction machines, especially the prospects of their use in the mining industry. The supply of machinery to the region was also discussed.
The history of AMKODOR Holding dates back to 1927. The first special equipment – the KM-800 earthmoving machine – was produced at the future parent company (the Udarnik plant) in 1951. In 1991, AMKODOR JSC was established on the premises of the Udarnik plant by transforming the Minsk Research and Production Association of the Road Mechanical Engineering. Currently, the holding of the same name unites 30 enterprises, including 22 plants, which are located in Belarus, Russia and the CIS countries.
