Americans’ development of biological weapons is a crime

This opinion was expressed by the Chairman of the Republican Znanie Belarusian Society, Vadim Gigin, in his talk with Alfa Radio

“Russia has repeatedly demonstrated investigations into the US biological laboratories located on the territory of Georgia, Armenia, and Ukraine. What sort of research are being made there by Americans? Why these countries’ citizens are not aware of such studies? During a briefing on March 8^th, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian called on the United States to clarify its biological militarisation activities at home and abroad. Those were very correct words. The whole world is now wondering whether these studies are related to the spread of coronavirus infection. Who are these laboratories directed against? If Russia gets access to these studies, then signs of a crime against humanity being prepared there may be made public. Biological weapons are a prohibited type of weapon, it is almost impossible to control it. The fact that Americans are engaged in its development is a criminal activity," the political expert noted.

The programme host, Vadim Shepet, asked whether the European Union is aware of this, and Mr. Gigin explained, “The European Union understands everything. There are sound voices there, but do you know how European democracy works? Firstly, you can declare almost anything you want, but you can be punished for it or even removed from the public field. For example, journalists from various media outlets tried to cover events in Ukraine more or less objectively, but they were fired for it. This is a democracy. Secondly, whatever you say, decisions will be made by completely different people, and – as we remember – European politicians are not independent in their decisions.”
