Oleg Zhidkov, the Chairman of Belgospishcheprom Concern, informed the Turkish diplomat about the work of the concern's enterprises and noted the great potential for mutual trade between Belarus and Turkiye. It was stressed that Anatoly Glaz, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkiye appointed by the Head of State on January 14th, would give a new impetus to co-operation between the two countries.

Mr. Zhidkov also mentioned the participation of the Minsk Sparkling Wine Factory in the Anfas Food Product 2025 International Trade Fair for Food and Beverages in Antalya, where the products of Minsk Kristall JSC will also be presented – thus helping Turkish consumers become more familiar with the Belarusian produce.

Güçlü Cem Işık, in turn, focused on the fact that, during the last meeting of the presidents of both countries, the task was set to increase trade turnover, and the target of $1.5bn was outlined. In 2023, the total trade turnover exceeded $2bn, and the results of the work in 2024 will be summarised soon. The diplomat expressed confidence that the indicators will be quite high.

“We are ready to assist in the promotion of your products in the Turkish market. We will assist in resolving all issues that arise," Güçlü Cem Işık stated.
