Ambassador of India to Belarus: our countries co-operate in tourism, education, culture

Co-operation between Belarus and India is developing through tourism, education and culture – as stated by Ashok Kumar, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Belarus, sb.by reports

Speaking of the co-operation between India and Belarus, Ashok Kumar noted that the countries enjoy wide cultural interaction, “We are happy that a Belarusian delegation has been participating in the popular Surajkund Mela international craft festival for two years in a row.”

The diplomat added that India is also involved in the global cultural events of Belarus: Slavyanski Bazaar in Vitebsk and Listapad festivals. He also shared some plans for further cultural interaction, “The Embassy supports the idea of organising Days of Culture of Belarus in India in December 2025. Days of India in Belarus are also planned. By the way, I visited the Gomel and Brest regions this March and June and got acquainted with the cultural aspects of these territories. I also explored the business opportunities for Indian and Belarusian companies. In the near future, I plan to visit other regions of the country.”
