Ambassador laid wreath at Tomb of Unknown Soldier in Moscow to mark Belarus’ Independence Day
On July 1st, a ceremony was held in the Kremlin’s Alexander Garden, where Belarus’ Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to honour Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus. He also laid flowers at the memorials dedicated to the hero cities.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the leadership of the Union State Standing Committee, the Eurasian Economic Commission, other integration structures, Belarusian and Russian diplomats, representatives of the Belarusian diaspora, and the public.
The participants of the event also laid flowers at the Minsk Hero City and the Brest Hero Fortress memorial signs, installed on the alley of hero cities in the Alexander Garden. The ceremony ended with a solemn march of the honour guard company to the sounds of a military band.
