Ambassador: Kyrgyzstan ready to provide farmland for Belarus to grow sugar beet

Bishkek and Minsk are interested in intensifying friendly relations and reliable partnership in the political and economic spheres – as stated by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Belarus Erbol Sultanbaev during his meeting with Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova on June 19th

At the beginning of the meeting, the diplomat conveyed warm greetings to Natalya Kochanova from her Kyrgyz counterpart and added, “We look forward to the active continuation of our inter-parliamentary contacts, so we expect the leadership and parliamentarians of the National Assembly of Belarus to pay a return official visit. We are always happy to welcome our dear Belarusian friends.”

Mr. Sultanbaev confirmed that a good, trusting political dialogue has developed between the leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, “This contributes to and serves as a solid, good basis for our bilateral relations. Kyrgyzstan and Belarus have traditionally been reliable partners in foreign policy. We are interested in deepening and promoting our bilateral relations of friendship and reliable partnership.”

The diplomat expressed his sincere gratitude to Belarus for preserving historical memory and reverent attitude to memorials, including those dedicated to Kyrgyz soldiers. He also noted the high potential of economic co-operation.

“The Kyrgyz side is ready to provide farmland for growing valuable sugar beet and its stable supplies to the Republic of Belarus. At the same time, the Belarusian side can supply agricultural machinery for this project and share its scientific developments. Actually, Belarusian equipment is highly appreciated in Kyrgyzstan, and the country is ready to import it. We are working to ensure that our entrepreneurs can buy Belarusian machinery through export credit mechanisms.”
