The diplomat delivered a speech at the opening of the EXPO-RUSSIA SERBIA 2022 annual industrial show in Belgrade. Mr. Botan-Kharchenko noted that the position of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic regarding anti-Russian sanctions is principled and consistent.

Moreover, as stated by the ambassador, Russia and Serbia continue close co-operation despite strong Western pressure on this issue.

"This exhibition is very significant, it is part of traditional relations and it shows an even greater intensity of the development of our business ties and comprehensive co-operation, taking into account the fact that Serbia does not support sanctions against Russia," Mr. Botan–Kharchenko said.
