Almost $161m of Belarus-made medicines exported in 2021

Almost half of all medicines produced by Belpharmprom Pharmaceutical Holding Company sold abroad

“In 2021, our pharmaceutical products were exported to 37 countries to generate almost $161m,” Sergei Kazakevich, the Director General of the Management Company of the Belpharmprom Pharmaceutical Holding Company, says. “Traditional sales markets cover the CIS states and the EAEU. More than 70 percent of the total exports are sold to the Russian Federation.”

Last year, exports to four African countries were actively developing. Among them were two new markets for Belarusian medicines: Libya and Kenya. Sales to Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, Vietnam and Mongolia – representing the already mastered far abroad markets – continued.
