Aleksandr Lukashenko: China will not allow world order to be broken
The President of Belarus paid a visit to the People’s Republic of China. The programme of the visit included negotiations on the top level and talks with representatives of the Chinese business community.

During his bilateral meeting with President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted: eyes of many states are on Beijing.
The Head of State underlined that he greatly appreciates the friendliness of the Chinese leader, “It is emphasised by the fact that you have invited me to come to your house. I am very grateful to you and, of course, I will be waiting for you at my house. I am still surprised and amazed (although this is my 15th time in China and I have been co-operating with your country for thirty years) by your attitude towards the guests.
Believe me, this is the general opinion. The presidents of the post-Soviet republics and I often exchange opinions, and we share the same view — and we really appreciate it. We understand and appreciate it. You have very correctly highlighted the main feature of our modern time: it’s an unprecedented pressure on the part of the West on us, primarily on China. At present, eyes of many states, including Belarus, are on you, on Beijing. Just five years ago, there was an opinion that the planet will be balanced and will exist if China holds out. Today, people say: ‘China has held out, China will not allow the world order to be broken’. Many nations and heads of state are convinced of this. I have heard this from them during our meetings.” The presidents discussed during their informal meeting the state and prospects of the development of Belarusian–Chinese relations, their further intensification through the implementation of joint projects and the promotion of multilateral initiatives.
The key vector has been clearly identified in the bilateral co-operation: modernisation of the Belarusian economy based on Chinese technologies. The most important partnership development projects in mechanical engineering, woodworking, chemical industry and other industries have been outlined. In general, joint work is planned to create the economy of innovation and knowledge.President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping invited the Belarusian leader to the SCO summit and the military parade scheduled to be held in China on September 3rd.
Welcoming Aleksandr Lukashenko, Xi Jinping noted, “I am very pleased to see you, my friend. I would like to congratulate you once again on your re-election as President of Belarus. This fully demonstrates the support and trust of the Belarusian people towards you. I am sure that under your leadership Belarus will surely achieve new and even more striking successes.”
The Chinese President stressed that Belarus and China are strengthening unbreakable friendship and political trust, and co-operation in all areas is advancing. The countries closely liaise on international platforms, including the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation.
“China and Belarus are not obedient to any kind of global hegemony and harassment policy. We are defending international justice and equality together,” he said.Xi Jinping invited the President of Belarus to the upcoming SCO summit in China in late August and the subsequent military parade on the occasion of the anniversary of the Victory in World War II.
“I cordially invite you to these events, and I will be glad to see you,” the Chinese leader addressed Aleksandr Lukashenko.

Visit to China was successful
The visit to China was a success — as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko before departing from Beijing, BelTA reports.“Everything has been perfectly well. I met with my friend, and we had a talk. We agreed to intensify our relations, that was very successful,” the President said.
The Head of State was accompanied at the airport by Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin. “The Chinese official speaks Russian well, he knows our language. He said that the visit was successful,” the Belarusian leader noted.
“The visit was successful, it was great,” Liu Bin confirmed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the parties do not widely report on the meetings ‘with people we need and who are ready to work with us’. “As Xi Jinping says, it is necessary to do everything quickly — sometimes calmly, but quietly. That’s how we work,” the President said.
The leaders’ conversation lasted two and a half hours. “It was a private family meeting — not official, not working, but the family one. Actually, the Chinese always remain hospitable: they organised everything at the highest level. That was great. We had talks with representatives of the real sector of the economy and finances. Today [on June 4th], we have met with President [Xi Jinping] and Foreign Minister Wang Yi who is our old friend,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
“I think the visit was successful. Most importantly, the corridor has been expanded for them [responsible persons on both sides], so they just need to go ahead. This is why I tell the ambassador: ‘You are fully responsible for relations with China. These are new opportunities for us’,” the Belarusian leader concluded.
World community should follow the example of Belarus–China friendship

Mr. Snopkov recalled that, back in December 2023, Xi Jinping proposed more active co-operation in the joint technological development of China and Belarus based on modern Chinese technologies and Belarusian industrial competencies, primarily in mechanical engineering and tractor construction.
“Since that moment, we have been actively developing this topic, and it is gaining momentum. The Year of Science and Technology is coming to an end, and a two-year programme dedicated to industrial co-operation will start next year. Therefore, the meeting of the President of Belarus with representatives of Chinese business circles has become a strategic message for more expanded and in-depth liaisons with one of the world’s leading manufacturers of heavy machinery,” the First Deputy Prime Minister said.
CHINA WILL REMAIN BELARUS' IMPORTANT STRATEGIC PARTNER
Aleksandr Chervyakov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the People’s Republic of China, commenting on the visit of the Belarusian leader to China, noted that the visit had been preceded by a lot of systematic work on the part of the governments of Belarus and China.Mr. Chervyakov added that the bilateral trade turnover grew in Q1 2025, “This year, the Belarus–China turnover is growing. We have increased trade in goods by almost 40 percent, and exports rose by about 18 percent. Belarus mainly sells potash fertilisers, food and woodworking products, but we also see new product positions that need to be promoted. Therefore, the potential and prospects are great. China has been and remains an important strategic partner for us in all-weather and comprehensive co-operation.”
