About 2,900 anti-doping tests to be conducted at Beijing Games
During the 24th Winter Olympics in China, about 2,900 anti-doping tests will be conducted among athletes – as informed by Benjamin Cohen, the Director General of the International Testing Agency (ITA), TASS reports
Mr. Cohen said that half of all samples will be taken during the out-of-competition period – to be tested in a Beijing laboratory accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
The doping samples taken at the Olympic Games will be stored for ten years.
The Winter Olympics will open on February 4th to last until February 20th.
