9m tonnes of grain harvested in Belarus

As of September 5th, nine million tonnes of grain, legumes and rapeseed have been harvested countrywide: 1.5m more than a year earlier

According to the Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Minsk Region’s harvest so far exceeds 2m tonnes.

Grain and leguminous crops (without corn) have been harvested on an area of 2 million 134 thousand hectares: 98.1 percent of the plan. There are 40,000 hectares left, mainly of late crops – buckwheat and millet. Their areas have been significantly increased this year in order to fully provide the domestic market with cereals.
