73% of Americans dissatisfied with quality of US education system, the poll shows
A record number of Americans are dissatisfied with the education system in the US, according to a poll conducted by the American sociological service Gallup, RIA Novosti reports
According to the survey, 73 percent of Americans are dissatisfied with the quality of the American education system. The opposite point of view is held by 24 percent of respondents, and another 2 percent of those surveyed refrained from answering the relevant question.
The results of the poll are based on telephone interviews conducted from January 2nd-15th, with a random sample of 1,005 American adults. The margin of error is about 4 percentage points.
In addition, the results of similar surveys conducted since 2001 are given. According to this information, the number of Americans dissatisfied with the education system has reached a maximum this year. The polls show that this figure is gradually increasing, rising from 57 percent in 2001 to 68 percent in 2023 and 2024. At the same time, the number of those who are satisfied with public education is falling: 40 percent in 2001 and 29 percent in 2023 and 2024.
