5m tonnes of grain could be taken out of Ukrainian ports monthly
According to the United Nations forecast, taking into account the agreement signed in Istanbul, it will be possible to export 5m metric tonnes of grain from Ukrainian ports every month, RIA Novosti reports
The figure was shared by a representative of the UN. “We are aiming for monthly exports of about 5m metric tonnes,” he said.
According to the source, the same transportation volumes were registered before the start of Russia's special operation on the territory of Ukraine.
The agreement on creation of a grain corridor for exports of agricultural products from Ukraine via the Black Sea was signed by representatives of Turkey, Ukraine, Russia and the UN. It should be noted that Russia and Ukraine signed the document with Turkey and the United Nations, but not with each other.
