5,688 sites included in state list of Belarus’ historical and cultural values

5,688 heritage sites in Belarus have been included in the state list of historical and cultural values, sb.by reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee review dedicated to Cultural Workers’ Day, celebrated annually in Belarus on the second Sunday of October

Out of the total number of historical and cultural sites, 2,221 are archaeological monuments, 1,842 are architectural monuments, 1,216 are historical monuments, 67 are art monuments, 14 are urban planning monuments, 4 are protected areas, 185 are intangible historical and cultural assets, and 139 are tangible movable historical and cultural values.

Additionally, 4 cultural heritage sites in Belarus are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
