According to the study, 45 percent of companies intend to open new offices outside Germany. At the same time, only 13 percent reported that they would like to open new branches in the country. At the same time, 29 percent of the companies surveyed said they might move jobs out of Germany, while only 4 percent said they would bring them back from abroad.

The main reason for weak economic growth in Germany is bureaucracy: 70 percent of respondents cited bureaucratic requirements as one of the three most serious obstacles to economic recovery. 49 percent named ‘wrong political decisions’ as the ‘growth killers’ of business, while 26 percent named inefficient management.
