40+ drug-addicted school bus drivers identified by French police
A large-scale drug and alcohol testing campaign among school bus drivers has revealed over 40 cases of drug use in France – as noted by Interior Minister Francois Buffet, TASS reports
According to Francois Buffet, the police campaign focused on school bus drivers and, of the 8,000 tests conducted in two days, 44 tested positive for drugs and five for alcohol.
It is noted that driver checks will last until Friday, February 7th. They began after an accident with a school bus on January 30th, which killed a 15-year-old student and injured 24 of his peers. The bus travelling along a suburban highway slid into a ditch and fell on its side. Based on preliminary data, the driver was guilty. The man had traces of cannabis use in his blood after the accident.
