“The night in the camp was quiet,” Mr. Liskovich said in the morning. “Over the past day, doctors helped 37 refugees and distributed 10,000 facemasks among them. From today on, volunteer foreigners will join to improve communication with refugees.”

According to the official, a mobile shop and an exchange office are planned to open on the site to ensure those who wish to purchase basic necessities.

Mr. Liskovich added that the Belarusian side makes all efforts to mitigate the harsh living conditions of refugees, as well as not to allow infections to spread and chronic diseases to worsen. “We plan to start vaccinating refugees today. All the measures taken will help them preserve their health,” he said.
