333 sportsmen to receive Presidential Sports Club’s scholarships in 2022

The Presidential Sports Club has announced the names of 220 athletes and 113 coaches from 38 sports who will receive scholarships next year

Many of them are already well known to sports fans. 149 athletes won prizes at world and European championships. Among them are Kristina Dmitruk – a winner of the Wimbledon Juniors Doubles, Anastasia Zimenkova – a European Wrestling Championships bronze holder, Valeria Mikitich – a silver medallist of the World Cadet Wrestling Championships, Marharyta Fefilava – a European Pool Championships medallist, Mira Buraya – a champion of the International Modern Pentathlon Union Youth World Championships, and many other talented athletes. Among the coaches who will receive scholarships next year are 35 young professionals.

“It is certainly very pleasant to be among the Presidential Sports Club’s scholarship holders next year,” biathlete Ivan Tulatin admits. “It is not for the first time that I receive a scholarship. Such support is really needed as it makes it possible to buy good vitamins or improve sport outfit, for example. We are encouraged by recognition of our successes as this inspires us to work even harder and achieve even better results.”

The Presidential Sports Club’s project to support young promising athletes and coaches is running already for 15 years and, over this time, 3,115 scholarship holders have been named. Among those who received support in previous years there are also many famous athletes, including six Tokyo Olympics winners: Ivan Litvinovich, Iryna Kurachkina, Maryna Litvinchuk and Volha Khudzenka, Maksim Nedasekau, Alina Harnasko and Vanesa Kaladzinskaya.
