16 Ukrainians arrived at Belarusian checkpoint
Citizens of Ukraine have decided to temporarily leave their country in an attempt to save their families from hostilities
A group of sixteen people, including 8 children, have come to the Belarusian Andreyevka checkpoint – asking for protection on the territory of Belarus.
Residents of Ukrainian villages said it is not safe to stay at their homes now, especially with children. It has become almost impossible to move along the roads to larger settlements. Difficulties have emerged with medical care and food.
After the necessary procedures, Belarusian border guards allowed the whole group to enter Belarus. Local authorities decided to temporarily resettle the Ukrainian citizens at the Golden Sands sanatorium in the Gomel Region and determine their further status of stay in the Republic of Belarus.
