16-time Paralympics winner: Belarusian Boki

Igor Boki captured his fifth gold in Tokyo to become a 16-time winner of the Paralympics – taking into account the Games in London and Rio de Janeiro

On August 30th, the sportsman won Men's 200m Individual Medley S13, in 2:02.70 – a new world record in the discipline. Earlier, he set new records in the Men's 100m Butterfly, 100m Backstroke and 50m and 400m Freestyle.

Silver went to French Alex Portal (2:09.92), while Thomas van Wanrooij, from the Netherlands, was placed third (2:10.79).

By now, the Belarusian national team boast seven medals: five gold, one silver and one bronze. Apart from Boki (who captured all gold medals), swimmer Yegor Shchelkanov (silver) and javelin thrower Yelizaveta Petrenko (bronze) have been awarded in Tokyo. In the medal standings, Belarusians are in the 13th place.
