150+ police officers injured at protests in Georgia

More than 150 police officers were injured due to the actions of the instigators of riots at protests in Georgia, TASS reports

Georgia’s Deputy Interior Minister Aleksandre Darakhvelidze said at a briefing, “Outrageous groups actively used pyrotechnics and the so-called Molotov cocktails during the protests. They were armed with various objects, including iron and wooden batons, brass knuckles. They also actively used slingshots for attacks, with which they aimed iron objects at attacking police equipment and policemen. As a result of these actions, more than 150 police officers were injured.”
