15 new Tor-M2K complexes entered service with Belarus’ 15th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade

New equipment is a useful present for the 15th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade. Until now, it had S-300 air defence systems – a basic element designed for targets of different altitudes – in service, and the Tor-M2K anti-aircraft missile system can not only hit airplanes, helicopters or guided missiles, but also successfully fight against drones.

Importantly, the new system not only finds targets on the move, but also ‘deals’ with them in motion as part of a column.

“New equipment is coming according to the rearmament plan, so nothing extraordinary is happening. The Tor-M2K is a unique sample: this complex can simultaneously fire at four targets, cover an altitude of up to 10,000 metres at a speed of up to 700 metres per second. It will protect all civilian and military objects,” Colonel Andrei Lukyanovich, the Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence of Belarus’ Armed Forces, said.
