According to the director of the international relations mission of Clermont-Ferrand, Gerard Reno, the 30-year friendship between the two cities will be marked by the opening of a photo exhibition of Sergei Kholodilin dedicated to the 21st anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster in the French twin-city.

The French public will also see photo collections that feature the life of modern Gomel and the Gomel Region. Besides, it is planned to involve students and pupils of the two cities in joint activities.

According to Gerard Reno, besides the existing humanitarian relations it is necessary to develop cooperation in the economic sector and ecology.
