Belarusian Maxim Gustik takes 3rd place at World Championship in Kreischberg

Maxim GustikMaxim Gustik easily took 4th place in the first round of the final, while Denis Osipov was knocked out, finishing 11th among 12 contenders. In the next round, Maxim received 116.82 points, taking him into third position and qualifying him for the super-final. In the elite top six, he gained an impressive 119.91 points to claim bronze. The complexity factor of his last jump was 4,525. The World Championship-2015 medal is Gustik’s first at an adult event and the score his best to date.

In parallel with the men’s final was the women’s aerial ski jumping, with Belarusian Anna Guskova coming 6th in the first round of the final and Alexandra Romanovskaya 11th, ending her performance in the World Championship. Performing in the second round of the final, Guskova came 4th, entering the super-final for the top six, where she finished in 6th position and showed the best result of her career to date. Anna also participated in the Winter Olympic Games of 2014.
