The Information Minister, Lilia Ananich, noted during the book’s presentation at the National Library of Belarus that it has only yet been released in English (priced at $105) but that Mr. Ioffe is keen for someone to translate the edition into Belarusian.
Ms. Ananich believes the edition would be of interest to Belarusian citizens, saying, “It would be a great honour for a publishing house to release such a book and I’m convinced that they would be lining up to purchase the copyright. No budgetary support would be needed, as the book would sell well.”
Prof. Ioffe is eager to pursue the idea, noting, “Times change and some information dates, so I’d update the edition before a translation was made. However, I’m very much in favour of the proposal.”
